For our first-ever L.A.-based filmmaker narrative shorts program, we’ve invited the fearless local screening series Presidium Overactive curated by Creston Brown, to present a series of adventurous premieres: films that take a variety of cockeyed perspectives on shattered dreams, seductive cults, and the nagging sensation of self-doubt.

After leaving New York City behind, Hollis checks into a quiet roadside motel where she meets Adam, a young male escort she's hired. As the night unfolds, Hollis guides Adam through an unsettling, intimate experiment that blurs emotional and psychological boundaries. But just as she returns to her routine, a sudden, senseless act of violence shatters the illusion of control she tried to reclaim.
